Website Design is about communication. Website Development is about convenience and clarity.

I work closely with my clients to make sure that the website we are building will project not just the information, but also the correct mood. This means everything from organizing an efficient menu system to the choosing the most effective fonts and imagery.

I now design and develop using exclusively Drupal content management systems. In this manner my clients can easily update and make changes to their website without any knowledge of html or scripting languages.

I am currently enjoying the endless possibilities of the Traditional Printing process. I am experimenting with copper plates, zinc plates, Xerox transfers, collagraph, and solar plates and having a blast. Since studying a variety of print techniques, I have noticed my sense of texture and color expanding and influencing my work in other media forms.

My favorite medium thus far is the digital medium. With a variety of software tools I can express a range of emotion and depth that continues to amaze me. Using Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3ds Max - I manipulate and layer original illustrations, paintings, traditional prints, and photographs to achieve my desired result. I prefer to bounce back and forth between digital and traditional fine art forms - using each to enhance the other. I have also used software to mock up ideas for other media. I feel privileged to live in a time where such wonderful tools are available to help me bring my creative visions to life.

I find working with clay the perfect balance to my more digitally oriented work.
Working on the wheel is meditative and grounding. Hand sculpting the clay brings out something primal in me - as if the process is instinctual and should not be controlled. The inconsistencies and serendipitous nature of the glazes is liberating. My work with ceramics has helped me to develop a stronger sense of dimension and I feel it has noticeably enhanced my two dimensional work.
